The Anterior Implant: Meeting the Esthetic Challenge

Lecture | Hands-on

Introduction

Over the past decade, one of the biggest challenges in implant dentistry has been the development of peri-implant gingival esthetics, particularly in the anterior maxillary region. Periimplant esthetics is defined as the presence of harmonious gingival architecture around the implant restoration and the surrounding dentition. This day program is designed to take the mystery out of the anterior implant.

Implant restorations in the esthetic zone can be compromised if the tissues surrounding them are not ideal. Implant restorations present a unique challenge compared to natural teeth. The esthetic implant provisional is a critical component for evaluating and modifying the tissues surrounding an implant. The purpose of this portion of the session will be to present implant provisional techniques and allow participants to make an anterior implant provisional.
