Introduction

This is an introductory hands-on course covering basic principles of dental photography and image management. Photoshop, PowerPoint applications will be used. Students will master the basics of digital camera operation, lenses, and lighting as well as learn techniques for editing digital images for PowerPoint presentations and web page content.

Faculty

Joe Weisz, CDTJoe Weisz, BS, CDT, After obtaining his certificate in Dental Laboratory Technology from Los Angeles City College in 1977, Mr. Weisz received advanced training in tooth form and ceramics from Dr. Peter K. Thomas’ son Duke in Hawaii and later began working on comprehensive reconstruction cases within a gnathology practice in Berkeley, California. As a lab owner in Seattle, Washington, he focused on comprehensive case design, post-ceramic soldering, and implant technology, with cases from Dr. John Kois and the Graduate Department of Prosthodontics, University of Washington School of Dentistry. Mr. Weisz has been a Certified Dental Technician since 1982 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Laboratory Technology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. For 7 years he was Co-Director and an instructor at the UCLA Master Dental Ceramist Program, a full-time two-year institute for technicians directed by Dr. Ed McLaren.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

If a written cancellation is received 30 days or more prior to the first day of a program, a refund or credit will be issued, less a 25% processing fee. No refunds or credits will be issued if cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the first day of a program, or is not submitted in writing.
