Introduction

Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in Tarzana California is proud to present America’s longest running and most comprehensive residency program that covers all areas of contemporary esthetic restorative dentistry. This unique residency program was founded and is directed by Dr. Bruce J. Crispin who has taught hands-on programs in esthetic restorative dentistry for over 40 years. He has carefully selected a group of premier lecturers that are experts in their respective fields to share their knowledge and experience.

Since the late 1980s, this unique residency program has changed the lives of hundreds of dentists. At Esthetic Professionals, it provides the foundation for all of our other residency programs. The primary objective and focus for this program is to educate, expose and train each resident in the vast range of techniques, materials and therapies related to contemporary dentistry.

This comprehensive program covers all areas of contemporary esthetic and restorative dentistry. It starts with practice structure, communication and photographic skills, and provides an in-depth education in the full range of esthetic therapies and treatment design. It will expose residents to the latest equipment, materials, techniques, and provide an in-depth hands-on experience and training in all the latest treatment options and modalities.

This residency is our most established program and has three distinct components with all phases being proctored by faculty members. The first component is the lecture series, which includes literature reviews and individual case reviews. Each session will begin the class with reviewing pre-assigned published articles and individual cases, followed by a related lecture presented either by faculty or guest speakers.

The second component will be hands-on laboratory projects, which are related to the lecture series of that session.
The third component is a comprehensive clinical experience, where the skills and knowledge acquired through the lectures, literature review, and lab projects are applied on actual patients. Residents are encouraged to try the new techniques and materials. During this phase, residents are able to achieve a “comfort zone” for expanding treatment in your office.

Each resident will be given a list of requirements to be completed during the year, in order to obtain a graduation certificate.
Our ultimate goal of this residency is to insure that each resident leaves the program with an elevated level of confidence, knowledge, and esthetic restorative practice skills that can be used immediately to provide patients with state of the art contemporary esthetic and restorative dentistry, and provide residents with an increased practice enjoyment and an enhanced bottom line.

Enrollment in the program is strictly limited in order to assure a high level of interaction between participants and the faculty. The first applications received that qualify for entrance will be accepted into the program. Early application is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Format

The Comprehensive Esthetic and Restorative Residency program will consist of 8 hour sessions held on Fridays & Saturdays approximately once a month for a total of 24.5 days (196 hours). Each session allows for in-depth coverage of topics. Sessions will be divided into components that will:

• Cover the pertinent literature
• Present didactic information (Lectures)
• Include symposium style discussions
• Provide laboratory exposure and experience with materials and techniques
• Require patient treatment experiences based upon individual interests & course requirements.*
• *Please note: Patients treated during clinical sessions will be required to pay a clinical fee for services performed. In general they are 1/3-1/2 private practice fees, to encourage participation.

• All participants will need to provide Esthetic Professionals with a copy of dental license, dental degree, CPR certificate and proof of malpractice insurance prior to the start of the clinical sessions. Clinical fees are separate from the tuition.

Faculty

• The Residency program faculty will include guest lectures by world-renowned clinicians, technicians, and manufacturers representatives. The goal of the program will be to bring in presenters from various sources to ensure an expert perspective in every subject covered.
• Bruce J. Crispin DDS – Program Director*, MS: Course Director, is a Fixed Prosthodontist and Diplomat, American Board of Prosthodontics, Accredited Member of the AACD, Professor Emeritus UCLA, and has practiced and taught since 1972.
• Kristi Crispin DMD – Associate Program Director*, William McKibben DDS, Dr. Steven Greenman DDS and Warren Kaufman DDS – Program Instructors and organizers, are all successful esthetic and restorative dentists with many years of clinical teaching experience with Dr. Crispin.

Materials and Equipment

A textbook, syllabus, copies of review articles, most expendable materials, models, and some equipment will be supplied.

Note: Certain equipment and materials (to be announced at session one) are required and must be purchased by participant. Special discounts will be offered on these essential esthetic dentistry materials and equipment.

Participants will be able to leave this program with the tools necessary to have a successful “Comprehensive Esthetic and Restorative Practice”. You will be able to pay for some of your tuition using these savings alone. In addition, many free samples are provided throughout the course, to make it a great deal.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing, signed, and are dated when received at Esthetic Professionals. If cancellations are made 30-60 days before the start of the program, 25% of the total tuition must still be paid. 100% of the total tuition is transferable to another program for one year with no penalties. If cancellations are made 0-30 days before the start of the program, 50% of the total tuition must still be paid. 75% of the total tuition is transferable to another program for one year. If cancellations are made after the start of the program, 100% of the total tuition must still be paid. 50% of the total tuition is transferable to another program for one year. Esthetic Professionals reserves the right to cancel any program seven days prior to the starting date. 100% refunds will be given or transferred to another program.
