INTRODUCTION

Mastering Immediate Dentin Sealing, Resin Coating, Deep Margin Elevation and Modern Ceramic Preparation & Bonding Protocols!

Course Description

This course will introduce, demonstrate and practice the advanced adhesion techniques of Immediate Dentin Sealing, Resin Coating & Deep Margin Elevation which have been shown to insulate the pulp, dramatically increase and stabilize dentin bonds and virtually eliminate sensitivity. The proper preparation and bonding of ceramic restorations will also be demonstrated and practiced with the latest adhesion technologies and materials. These new simplified procedures can provide predictable and repeatable clinical outcomes. The key research that gives scientific support to these techniques will also be reviewed and discussed throughout the course. This workshop is not just about theoretical understanding; it is a hands-on, immersive experience crafted to elevate your skills and confidence in implementing these advanced adhesive techniques. We encourage active participation, questions, and the exchange of insights among this gathering of professionals dedicated to excellence in dentistry.

Course Topics

Immediate Dentin Sealing (IDS): This segment, we will delve into the fundamental technique of IDS, understanding its significance and witnessing firsthand the physiological and mechanical benefits it brings to our restorative practices. Through a step-by-step walkthrough and hands-on application, you will acquire the skills necessary to integrate IDS seamlessly into your clinical repertoire.

Resin Coating: Moving forward, our focus shifts to the pivotal role of resin coating in enhancing the performance of restorative materials. Real-world applications and in-depth discussions will be complemented by practical sessions, enabling you to master material selection and application techniques for diverse clinical scenarios.

Onlay Prep Design: In this comprehensive exploration of onlay preparations, we will begin by highlighting the fundamental importance of longevity in dental restorations and the critical role that proper onlay preparation plays in achieving this goal. Through a nuanced understanding of onlay mechanics, we will delve into how these restorations distribute occlusal forces and the underlying principles of stress distribution within tooth structures. Examining the factors influencing onlay longevity, we will explore material selection, patient-related considerations, and the impact of clinical factors on the overall success of the restoration.

Modern Ceramics Bonding Protocols: The workshop’s pinnacle explores the bonding intricacies of modern ceramics, with a spotlight on advanced materials such as Lithium Disilicates, Zirconium and hybrid materials. From surface treatment and conditioning to step-by-step bonding procedures, participants will engage in practical sessions, equipping themselves with the tools to navigate the challenges and ensure successful outcomes in ceramic bonding.

Learning Objectives:

  • How to perform immediate dentin sealing & resin coating with direct and indirect restorations
  • How to perform deep margin elevation
  • Preparation guidelines for partial coverage posterior restorations
  • Technique for bonding partial coverage, all ceramic restorations after IDS & Resin
  • Coating Temporization techniques after IDS & Resin Coating preparations
  • Latest adhesive technologies for bonding glass-based and zirconia ceramic restorations
