Esthetic Focused Periodontal Surgery Seminar

As we gear up for our Esthetic Focused Periodontal Surgery Workshop we would like to provide a preview of some of the topics to be covered in the program. Dr. Ziv Simon has blessed us with a couple of videos from his YouTube channel, Surgical Master, which touch upon a few of the many topics to be covered on his hands-on workshop taking place at Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center on February 6-7, 2015.

This video is in response to an e-mail sent to Dr. Ziv Simon by a dentist from Yemen. She asks about the free gingival graft and how to use it on lower incisor teeth. The video shows just that and explains the exact technique Dr. Simon is using and giving you some tips and tricks. Good Luck!

In the second video below, Dr. Ziv Simon talks about the second law of suturing (in previous videos he talked about law #1). He also shows you how the continuous suture works in 2 variations and also their disadvantages. By learning how to suture properly, your surgical outcomes will be great! Hang in there, keep learning, trying, practicing and stay in the game!

We hope you enjoy these video and find them of high value. The weekend program it set to start this Friday February 6, 2015. If you would like more information on the course you can contact our Dental Education Department by calling (818) 654-7102.

Drs. Bruce & Kristi Crispin Featured In Westlake Magazine

EP Homepage Westlake Magazine Cover ImageWe are proud to announce that Dr. Bruce Crispin & Dr. Kristi Crispin have been featured on this months issue of Westlake Magazine. Below is an excerpt from the profile:

“The apples did not fall far from the tree with regard to Dr. Bruce Crispin and his children. His daughter, Dr. Kristi Crispin, followed in his footsteps and is a founding partner at Esthetic Professionals – one of the most unique and dedicated dental facilities in the country. Additionally, his son Chad Crispin is head of business development at the EP Laboratory. Located in Tarzana, this is no average dental practice. The Crispin’s comprehensive facility houses an international dental education center and esthetic dental laboratory in addition to their individual practices.

With two generations of commitment, a state-of-the-art facility, hands-on education, technical excellence and quality throughout the practice, the Crispin’s dynamic team has built a reputation as being among the top in the field of cosmetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry. Yet with all their expertise, they attribute their success to one simple principle: listening to their patients. You can’t find a bad review about this extraordinary father/daughter dental team or their practice anywhere…and that in itself speaks volumes.

Dr. Bruce Crispin is one of the only dentist in the world that is a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics and an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry – a testament to his clinical expertise. He knew what he wanted to do early on writing his 9th grade career paper on dentistry, and for the last 40 years, he has transformed the smiles and lives of literally thousands of patients…

Dr. Kristi Crispin was no doubt blessed to have such a great role model for a father and Bruce was likewise blessed to have such an ardent and driven apprentice for a daughter. But Dr. Kristi wasn’t given any free rises. She earned her dental degree from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston and received the outstanding prosthodontics student award. Upon graduation, she completed extensive post-graduate training in cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry.”

A big warm welcome…

Allan ParigianWe are very happy to welcome Dr. Allan Parigian as a new faculty member of our Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics Residency. We are positive our new residents will enjoy having him as a faculty member. Below, in his own word, is his introduction:

“I graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1979, after which I moved to Southern California to practice with my brother in La Verne. In 1983 I took several months off to travel with my wife. Upon our return, I purchased my current practice located in Ventura, and taught for two years at the USC School of dentistry.

I have always been a proponent of continuing dental education. In the 80’s I studied with Dr. Robert Lee in what has now become known as Bioesthetic Occlusion. I was a member of the Odontic seminar at USC. I completed Dr. Crispin’s esthetic residency while he was still at UCLA, where I became extremely impressed by his knowledge, ethics, and straight forward approach to teaching dentistry. I went on to complete his residencies in restoring dental implants, advanced occlusion, and most recently advanced fixed prosthodontics. I also was a member of his interdisciplinary study club.

My interest in joining the faculty at Esthetic Professionals is twofold. I’m always motivated and gaining knowledge when I’m around Dr. Crispin, and I have a great respect for him. Also, if I can give back something of what I have learned, then I would like to do so. Thank you for this opportunity.”

The Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics Residency begins September 27, 2013 and we cannot wait to get this year started!
