Introduction

AM-PM “Occlusion”: what does it really mean? Is it limited to how teeth come together and function or is it more complex? This course will provide the foundation for a logical understanding of “occlusion”. The majority of the day will be devoted to understanding the neuromuscular physiology of the stomatognathic system and how to avoid common dental related injuries. Avoiding common injuries is the key but when injuries occur, it is essential to know how to treat and deal with them. Occlusion part 1 will provide the foundation necessary for the future study of occlusion.
