Inlays / Onlays
Inlays / Onlays
Inlays and onlays are recommended when tooth loss is too great for direct fillings but not enough to warrant a full coverage crown. They are also recommended for patients that prefer minimally invasive dentistry. (Adhesive technology required).
- High strength pressed and stained ceramic inlays/onlays are an ideal material when a ceramic is desired for durability or when opposing other ceramic restorations. Layering is generally not possible due to the conservative nature of the restoration.

- Indirect composite inlays/onlays are indicated when optimal esthetic results are required because layering is easily accomplished. It may also be indicated when less wear of opposing natural teeth is desired.
